Documentary of the week: The Beatles: Parting ways

On April 10, 1970, Paul McCartney announced that the Beatles had officially broken up. The news shocked the world and left many fans confused and heartbroken. While there were plenty of rumors as to why they decided to part ways, we'll never know for sure what truly happened behind closed doors. What we do know is that the Fab Four shaped music forever and created a legacy that will live on long after all four members have passed away. In this article, we’ll focus on the documentary “The Beatles: Parting ways, now streaming on our platform NomadxTV. We'll take a look at their history together and the impact their music made on generations of artists to come.

The beginning of The Beatles

The Beatles were originally a rock band from Liverpool, England. They formed in 1960 and became known for their revolutionary sound and style. The four members of the band were John Lennon (guitarist, vocalist), Paul McCartney (bassist/vocalist), George Harrison (guitarist) and Ringo Starr (drummer).

The Beatles met at the Liverpool Institute where they bonded over their love for playing music together. Their first gig was at a local bar called The Cavern Club where they played for several years before being signed by Brian Epstein who eventually became their manager in 1962.

In 1963 the group had their first hit with "Love Me Do" which reached number 17 on UK charts but didn't make it onto Billboard Hot 100 until 1964 when it peaked at number 105 there."

The Beatles were the first group to have their own record label. The Beatles were the first group to have their own fan club. The Beatles were the first group to have their own magazine. And, in what's now considered one of the greatest acts of corporate sponsorship and synergy in history, they also managed to be the first band ever to open a theme park—a feat that only seems more impressive when you consider that it was built at a time when most people still had no idea what "synergy" meant or how it might be used as an instrument for business growth.

The Beatles are one of the most important bands in history. They changed music and pop culture, they shaped the future of music and they became one of the most influential groups of all time.

Let It Be

Fab Four fans, you may have heard that the Beatles' final album was called Let It Be. It was released in May 1970 and was the last album released by the band before they broke up.

The critics liked it better than Abbey Road, which came out earlier that same year. The title track was a huge hit for them; it even won an Oscar for Best Original Song! This is when Paul McCartney decided to leave The Beatles (although he did stay friends with Ringo Starr).

This album also includes "I've Got a Feeling" and "Get Back."

Members' personal projects

Beatlemania started in 1963, when The Beatles released their first album Please Please Me. They quickly became one of the biggest bands in the world and millions of fans were devoted to them for years to come.

The Beatles consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. They began as a band called “The Quarrymen” in 1957 when they met at Liverpool College of Art where Paul McCartney had just started studying art school after graduating from secondary school. John Lennon was at another art school called Liverpool School of Art but was thrown out for bad behavior before he even finished his first year there!

George Harrison was introduced by mutual friend Ivan Vaughan who brought him along one day when they went to visit their friend Stuart Sutcliffe who lived nearby them on Menlove Avenue (close enough that they could easily walk there). Stuart Sutcliffe also happened to be dating Astrid Kirchherr who was an artist herself so she showed him how she painted her images onto canvas boards instead of just plain paper sheets like most people did at that time period which made him interested enough.

The Beatles are one of the most influential bands of all time. They changed music history and shaped the future of pop culture. Their music impacted generations, and their breakup was a shock to millions around the world. Even today, it's still hard to believe that such an iconic group is no more. While they had some personal issues between themselves, they were able to put their differences aside in order to create timeless music together—a testament to their ability as artists to collaborate creatively despite conflicting opinions on what constitutes good artistry.

If you are a Beatles fan, we recommend you watch the documentary “The Beatles: Parting ways”. We’re sure you will discover something you didn’t know about one of the world’s greatest bands.
